Summary:
We are currently looking for an experience CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) Technician.
Knowledgeable in is the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV systems.
Willing to train the right candidate in burglary and Fire alarms for a well-rounded alarm and CCTV Technician.
Key
Responsibilities:
1.
Installation and Configuration:
Install, mount, and position CCTV cameras in strategic locations based on project requirements and site surveys.
Set up and configure DVRs/NVRs, monitors, and other related equipment.
Install and connect wiring, cables, and power supplies for the CCTV system.
2.
Maintenance and Repairs:
Conduct routine maintenance of CCTV systems, including camera cleaning, lens adjustment, and firmware updates.
Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues related to cameras, cables, connectors, and other system components.
Repair or replace faulty equipment to ensure uninterrupted surveillance operations.
3.
System Integration and Networking:
Integrate CCTV systems with existing security systems, such as access control or alarm systems, as per project requirements.
Configure network settings and ensure proper network connectivity for remote monitoring and access.
Collaborate with IT professionals to address network-related issues and ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
4.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Create and update system documentation, including wiring diagrams, equipment lists, and user manuals.
Generate reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and equipment inventory.
5.
Customer Support and Training:
Provide technical support to clients or end-users regarding CCTV systems.
Train clients or security personnel on the operation and basic troubleshooting of CCTV systems.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries or service requests, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and customer service.
Skills and
Qualifications:
Solid understanding of CCTV systems, surveillance cameras, and related equipment.
Proficient in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting CCTV cameras, DVRs/NVRs, and other peripherals.
Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) for system integration and remote access.
Strong technical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, wiring diagrams, and system specifications.
Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and end-users effectively.
Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in system installation and maintenance.
Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights or in confined spaces, if required.
