Summary:
Collection of preliminary data and job requirements from CSR's for the purpose of creating a costing analysis and projection spreadsheet for quotes and bids.
This includes creating a costing plan that identifies actual costs, mark up, and projected profitability related to vehicle milage, labor, materials, and return of investment on rental equipment.
Completes follow up and after- action reports to confirm efficiency and that profitability margins were achieved.
Performs independently, exercising good judgment and initiative.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Familiarity with company products and services:
To include capabilities and specifications of each item of rental equipment, special considerations for the use of the equipment, and site requirements necessary for the placement and operation of the rental products.
Works closely with CSR's and management from all offices in order to collect preliminary data and job requirements on projects requiring quotes and bids.
Works with the Operations Supervisor and Operations Manager to confirm vehicle and equipment requirements for delivery and removal of materials and rental equipment and the manpower requirements related to loading, unloading, drive time, installation, removal, and the additional services needed in order to accomplish the specified job activity.
Prepares a costing analysis that includes project descriptions, load plans, vehicle costs, labor, cost of materials, miscellaneous charges, and return of investment on rental equipment.
Calculates projected profitability on projects in accordance with company guidelines for gross profit and net profit.
Completes after-action reports on projects based on actual data from operations.
Analyzes data from after action reports in order to make determinations on efficiency of operations and that profitability margins were achieved.
Completes reports on findings.
Makes recommendations for improving efficiency of operations and profitability:
especially as it relates to changes to costing formulas regarding mileage calculations, labor estimates for the various components of the project (including estimates for prep time, drive time, installation and recovery time, etc.
), and miscellaneous charges (costs of products, dump fees, environmental fees, etc.
).
Promotes available company services and products.
Promote clean and safe working conditions.
Attend training/meetings as directed and assigned by management.
Process all job related paperwork legibly and in accordance with instructions.
Sorts and files records.
Understand and comply with all company policies/procedures, including but not limited to; dress code, safety, punctuality, etc.

Assists management in analyzing routes for efficiency, proper route assignment, and profitability.

Accuracy and completeness of information on trip sheets, delivery and recovery paperwork, GPS's reports, and pre-trip inspections.

Places outbound collection calls in attempts to resolve invoice delinquency problems.
Ensures accounts delinquent status remain within or below company's expectation of receivables.
Locate and correct data entry errors, or report them to supervisor.

Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to invoices to resolve delinquency.

Ability to obtain and renew any certificates, licenses, registrations required by law or management for the position.
SKILLS REQUIRED:

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Access.
